New Hooked Rug – Day 30 ~ Helen’s Tapestry
Border work today!!! : ) Since I am doing a “draw as you go” border now with templates, I need to be sure to start at each corner and work towards the border center on each side! That way, if I have an irregular space left, I can make a template a bit different for the border center. If you noticed, I did that with the bottom border center. The center motif is a bit different and also a different size! : )
When I measured the border, it was 4 inches wide on the top and bottom and 5 inches wide on each side!!!! LOL I just measured one side and thought it was 5 ” all the way around. No wonder the top and bottom motifs were so squished together!!!!!! : ) So…when I designed my new border, I had to make the templates for the top and bottom and the templates for the sides different sizes so they’d fit!!!!! : )
Hey…why should all this redesigning be easy for me!!! Right??? Whew!!!!! : )
You might want to check out my other wordpress blog – (the second one on my bloglist) – to see one of the other rugs I will be working on at the same time I’m doing Helen’s Tapestry!! It’s a commission rug for a customer! It’ll be fun!!! : )
Have a great Evening!! Happy Hooking! Sunnie : )
