New Hooked Rug – Day 35 ~ Helen’s Tapestry

Working on drawing and hooking some border motifs today.  Also, some of the teal border too.  I thought it might be better to do a bit more on the borders before going back to the center!  : )

It’s a good idea to get these border motifs drawn and hooked even a little!  Gives a better vision of what the the whole rug will look like.

 Happy Hooking!!  Sunnie  : )

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!

  1. Sunnie, I’m still undecided about the border so it’s a good thing it’s your rug and not mine. But one thing I love about you (among many things) is that you jump all over the rug and hook. I simply have to get over this anal regimented style of mine and loosen up some. But I do love your color choices…..the teal and eggplant are beautiful.
