New Hooked rug – Day 40 ~ Helen’s Tapestry

Yep…you guessed it!!!  LOL  More border!!!!!  I figured I might as well give this side of the border a good start!!!  : )  But I will be happy to get back to the center motifs!!!  : )

I’m glad to get part of this border finished as it is so nice to know that a smaller part of the border will be facing me at the end!!!  I love doing the hooking this way!!  You wouldn’t believe the people who tell me that they are finishing all their border at one time… and they are beginning to hate the rug!!!!!  LOL  We don’t want to hate the rug at the end!  Hey, we’re supposed to be happy, patting ourselves on the back and smiling!!!!!!  : )

It’s been raining all day…drip, drip, drip.  but it’s good hookin’ weather!!!!!

Happy Hooking!  Sunnie  ; )

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!

  1. Hi Miss!!! : )

I was hoping that the border would be “rich-looking” but would still show off the rug center. : )
I think it will do that and it is really good to see how our borders work with the rug we are doing!!

I certainly have been glad that I tried out part of the border colours on other rugs I’ve hooked… after getting some of the center done. I usually can choose colours correctly…but, as I’ve said on the post before, I’ve made a few really BIG mistakes!!!! LOL : )
    Happy Thursday!!! Sunnie : )
