New Hooked Rug – Day 79 ~ Helen’s Tapestry

I can’t believe how long it takes to fill in the border background!!!!!  Also, the little border motifs seem to take a long time too…I don’t know why as they are so small.  Hmmm!  I’ve found several ‘holidays” that I’ve had to fill in…and there are more  in the rug center.  Eventually I’ll get them all!!!!!!  LOL

A beautiful Autumn Day! Happy Hooking!  : )

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!

  1. Sunnie,
I haven’t seen your rug in awhile, you are almost done and it is gorgeous. I love the rich colors you used and the border really brings it all together, love it.

  2. Sunnie,

I saw the other ‘Helen’s Tapestry’ on Alice’s blog…. It’s a beauty. Isnt it something, how given the same pattern we tinker with it, add our own personal touches and make it ‘ours’. I love your border because it gives the eyes a place to rest.

Keep going girl, you are almost at the finiish line. ~Anita

  3. Thanks, Everyone!!! : )

As I’ve said, I’ve really enjoyed doing this rug and have learned a lot !!!!! : )

I’ve been asked what I’ll do next!!! Whew! …but I’ll rest a bit and then I do have another rug in mind to do…so the adventure continues!!! LOL

Hugs to Everyone!!! And Happy Hooking!!! Sunnie ; )
