New Hooked Rug – Homeplace Primitive~Sunnie/Jan 2

Making more progress…I’m really enjoying doing the sunflowers too.  I didn’t do the individual petals on the sunflowers this time because I don’t want anything to detract from the doggies , the donkey and the horse…the main stars of the rug!  : )  (Making the sunflowers too “realistic” I thought would draw more attention to them than I wanted. )   Of course, I could be spouting a lot of “hooey”!!!!!!  LOL  : )

It’s getting so big I have to photograph it on the floor!!!!! (from the stairway!)  : )

Happy Hooking…I hope to get more hooking in this afternoon!!!

Happy New Year!!  : )

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!

  1. Sunnie, it’s beautiful! Until I saw your post on Snippets, I didn’t realize, for whatever reason, that this rug was so big!! But I still love it ~~ it makes me smile. The donkey, dogs and horse might be the stars of this rug but your flowers are so pretty and whimsical, I’m really drawn to them. You’re doing such wonderful work and I know the owner of this rug will love it.
