New Hooked Rug-Day 6/Mystery~Sunnie

Some of these shapes are really enjoyable to hook!  Trying out different looks and shading still!!!  LOL  : )

On a rug like this, where the motifs are the main focus, I like the blending of 2 or 3 different creamy wools for a background.  I use a couple of plaids and sometimes a cream solid colour or another striped or herringbone cream wool in the mix.  Interesting without standing out too much!  LOL

This rug might be nice with an antique black background too…but I decided on the light.  : )

Happy Hooking!  : )

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
