New Hooked Rug-MYSTERY2/Day 5 ~Sunnie

I was able to get a lot done for Day 5!!!  : )  Choosing colours for this rug is a real adventure and I’m happy with the choices so far…how long will that last!   LOL

The nice thing about hanging up your rug or mat and looking at it while having lunch or folding wash or just sitting and staring at it (!!LOL)… IS…you can really see immediately if a colour is fading into the next colour or being lost in the background or if it is just “Wrong” with the rest of the rug!  : )

You can also see if your background is correct too…although it may take hooking a bit of it (not just around the motifs!) just to test it before hooking a lot!!   I have chosen a wool for the background of this piece… but I might need to change it or to overdye it with another colour if it is too “bright”!   : )

Happy Hooking!!!!  Are we having fun yet?  LOL : )

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
