New Hooked Rug-Day 14-Little Allerton/rug hooking/Sunnie

Little Allerton – Day 14…  rug hooking, creative life and  hooked rugs. Rug hooking in Vermont.

Hooray…got one of the border flowers hooked for this post!  I love the swatch sets as they are mottled so you not only get the 6 values but within the values there is variation too!!!

Trisha asked me about the names of the swatch sets I am using from Winterberry Cabin…

Here they are:

For the blue-green leaves, I am using “Summer Sage”...for the rose coloured flowers, I am using “Antique Rose”.

For the lavender flowers I am using a colour that has been retired…but  her “Eggplant” is almost the same. 🙂

For the yellow green leaves and accents, I am using a hand dyed wool of my own that has both yellow green and blue green in it…it is not a swatch set.   For the stems, I am using a brown plaid with darker brown lines in it.   For the scrolls, I am using a bronze “as-is” plaid.  And the background is that “maroon-eggplant” plaid!

A beautiful summer day here in Vermont!  I hope you are all well and hooking away at whatever project takes your fancy!!    Sunnie  🙂

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
