New Hooked Rug-Little Allerton-Day 17/rug hooking/Sunnie

Little Allerton – Day 17 – hooked rugs, Vermont art, creativity, primitive hooked rugs,  fiber art, folk art, folk artist

Quick post today…;)

I am still working on background but am also hooking the “birdlike” motifs on the other side of the center!  I need to go back to the old green swatches to do the final two of the center leaves.

I enjoy doing the background more when I can look forward to hooking the leaves and flowers!!!!  I also need to hook a few more scrolls as they are not really “exciting” either!!!  LOL  I think they would be more interesting if I were doing fine shading of the scrolls…but since I decided to do the wide cut, I don’t want the scrolls to be anything more than an “enclosure” for the center flowers, leaves and “birds/shrubs/mysterys” elements!  : )

May you have a pleasant and productive day today!  Happy Hooking!  Sunnie  😉

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
