New Hooked Rug-Little Allerton-Day 30/rug hooking/Sunnie

Little Allerton – Day 30   ….hooked rugs, colour, folk art, fiber art, creativity, primitive hooked rugs

I am working on the scrolls on the other side of the rug now…I’ll see how many I can get done for tomorrow’s post!!!!    One done today and the start of another two!

I’ve really enjoyed working with these colours!

A Change of Colours!!!!!  (our foliage is beginning the autumn change here in Vermont)

I also did some dyeing yesterday…crockpot and casserole dyeing…I can sit with my leg up while the oven and crockpot are doing their work!!!!  😉   These are all autumn colours that I can take to the shop…yummy colours!

I like to put them into quarter yard “bundles” of two eighth yard pieces so that those hooking pumpkins or autumn leaves, etc. have a colour change but colours that blend!  But they don’t have to pay for a lot of wool when only a small amount is needed!!  😉   ( I know how much I appreciated that when I was starting out in rug hooking!)

Have a lovely day, stay safe and Happy Hooking!  😉

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
