New Hooked Rug-Little Allerton-Day 31/rug hooking/Sunnie

Little Allerton – Day 31    …….primitive rug hooking, creativity, hooked rugs, colour, color, folk art, fiber art

I’m going along on those scrolls!  😉    And on some background too!  I’m so thankful I don’t have to do all the background on this rug at the last!!!!!  Whew..what a pain that would be!!!!!   .I’ll be doing some flowers and leaves at the finish…something to look forward to! lol

We’ll see how much I can get done for tomorrow!  I hope you have enjoyed seeing this rug hooked and seeing my interpretation of it…!  We all have such different ideas as to how a rug “should” be hooked or what colours “should” be used.  😉  It would be interesting to me to see several people hook this rug in very different ways!   (Bright, wild flowers or fine shaded flowers and scrolls or everything very pale and light pastels or ?????)

The sun is shining here today and the Autumn leaves on our trees are beginning to turn those beautiful colours!  I am working on several October/Halloween/Autumn patterns to see how they hook up…and using those wonderful oranges, rusts, golds, greens, browns!  Happy Hooking!  Sunnie  😉

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
