Sunflower Singin’ the Blues-Day4/Colour/Sunnie – Rug Hooking

Yesterday, I had time to do more background and grass spears on the left side!  🙂

I am including a picture of the gray background wool I am using and you can see that it does not look as blue  (as it does in my progress photos) when shown on a plum plaid wool underneath!

Here is the progress on Day 4…

And here is the gray wool background…

These small pieces are great for learning a technique. or working with colour experiments..this is 15 x 15…and can be made into pillows or table mats…or a small decoration for a cupboard door, etc.   They don’t take much time and you can even try using embellishments or different fabrics, yarns, trims, etc.

We are seeing the red wing blackbirds, a couple of robins and grackles now at the bird feeders, or on the ground Under the bird feeders!!!! With our snow yesterday, the ground is white but not the snow is not deep.  So along with all the other birds, the new arrivals show that Spring can’t be too far off!   🙂

I hope that whatever the weather and wherever you are, you have Springtime in your heart..!!    Happy Hooking!  Sunnie   😉
