Sunflower Singin’ the Blues-Day 10/Colour/Rug Hooking

Not a very exciting photo today (!!!)  but I wanted to finish up the background as I don’t like to leave backgrounds for last..!!!  🙂

Now I can concentrate on the motifs and decide waht I want to adjust.  By comparing the photos, you can see where I have changed a little here and there to make something stand out or blend in…I look at my work each day from a distance so I can see if something isn’t working well.   But I’m not one to start tearing out until I hook the other motifs and background around the “questionable” one!!  After that, I can tell quite well if the design part isn’t working!!!

Here we go on Day 10…

I’m still debating what I’ll do with the center…but it will become more clear as I finish the flower!!!  😉  Happy Hooking!  Sunnie   😉

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
