Quick post today~!!! I was able to get most of this new section finished last night and did the rest this morning!
Here are the wools, the plaids and herringbones, that I am using for background! Plus the green/coral/cream plaid I showed you yesterday…the one used on the Bluebird scallops!
I have this section finished…one more section to go and the background will be done. I’m going back to the motifs too…and the border! I’m having fun with this experiment…!!! Happy Hooking! Sunnie 🙂

When I did a couple of commercial patterns on here, I showed the pattern and the information about where to buy it when I started the rug!
Sometimes I let you know that it has a theme, but a mystery rug is a “mystery” until the finish!
This is an experiment on using several different light plaid/herringbone wools for a sectioned background…that part is known!!!

It looks like a very sweet rug. Are you using all those pale neutral colors on the last picture. It looks very nice.

Yes, Julia, I am using those pale colours for sections of the background. I did not want a solid background but I thought it might be interesting to do the background in sections…so I tried the experiment…!!! …lol
After all, if I hated it I could always pull out the parts I didn’t like!!!!!
