I love it when a rug gets enough hooked on it to really see the colours blending and the design emerge! 🙂
It also can show me an error or an “experiment gone wrong!!!!!” …lol…
I have some more colour choices to make now as I work across the rug from left to right.
I often wonder what makes us choose how to hook a piece…do we start in the center and work out both ways/ Do we start on the right or left and work across to the other side? Do we work from the bottom of the rug to the top…or vice versa? I work all these ways and I wonder what makes me choose one way to work over another. Perhaps some deep psychological reason!!!! …lol…
Well, we won’t delve into my psychology today…(!!!) …but will get on with the rug at hand…!
Here is Progress on Day 6… this shows the completed background on the left side of the rug, all the leaves filled in and the completed border (except for the circles). I have lightened the larger picture to show the background plaid colours better. (Yes, I have used both a blue tinged green and a yellow green for the leaves as I don’t want them to be the same! Why are you not surprised!!!!!)
I will experiment with the circles and move closer to the center for my next hooking session. I do need to make some colour decisions for the right side of the rug so will do a little experimenting with that too!!!! We’ll see what I get done for tomorrow’s post. Happy Hooking! Sunnie 🙂
