Mystery Rug-“SLC”-Sunnie/rug hooking/hooked rugs-Day 2

This is already such fun…and thinking about what I’m going to do on this rug next is great..!!!   I love just looking at all the blues I’ve gathered together…(not the nicest picture but I just tossed them there!!!!   🙂

I have a lot of people to thank for the wool I am using on this rug…

seablueHand-dyed wools from Winterberry Cabin, Joan Wood, Sun and Wind Farm,  several past purchases on Ebay (the old tattered flag, etc.) and my own hand-dyes.   Then mill-dyed plaids and solids from Heavens to Betsy, The Wool Studio, Skip to My Ewe and others in the past…too many to remember!!!

Since I am hesitant about dying my own wool in an apartment kitchen, I am glad to have so many great wool colourists to buy from.

I also have a lot of nice greens that will go into the mix too…and just hooking along with a vague notion of the finished rug is a great experiment…!

So here is Progress on Day 2…Happy Hooking!  Sunnie  🙂

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
