New Mystery Rug-2016-“FLD”-Sunnie/rug hooking/hooked rugs-Day 10

I often don’t post on the weekends but had to post today because I worked a couple of hours on this little section and I’m so happy it is finished!!!!!!!!!   Not terribly impressive, I agree…but using a #3 cut in a small area along with #5 & #6 can be a bit tedious!   I need to tidy it up a little but I’m glad it is done.   🙂

Also, I am starting to work on a section of the bottom part of this piece where the motifs are inspired by old fraktur images and they are an unusual part of this design.   Or maybe I should say “unexpected”…given the main part of the rug.   🙂

I decided to hook this design at the bottom because it goes along with my little story.   It shows how we can make a misstep when we are mesmerized by something in the distance and are not paying attention to what we are doing!!!!

So I do have some Progress on Day 10…and I’m having a good time!   Happy Hooking!  Sunnie  🙂

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
