New Mystery Rug-“FO”-Nov 2016-Sunnie/rug hooking/hooked rugs-Day 5

Quick post …I did have fun as I decided to use up more leftovers and hook across the bottom of the rug today!   🙂

As you know, I do hook background as I go along too…not waiting until the motifs are all finished…hooking just background is not my favourite thing!!!!!

There are 2 pictures of the bottom of the rug as it is too wide to fit on here without making the picture too small.   And I am also posting the photo that I was going to do for today …until I got hooking my leftovers along that rug bottom (about 22-23 inches wide).

So here is Progress on Day 5…first, the photo for today: and then the 2 photos of the bottom of the rug using up leftovers!!!!   I had a lot of blues woolworms after doing my mermaid rug!!!!   🙂

I am not sure why I added these two “characters” to hold my initials but it just seemed the right thing to do!!!!   I often don’t have any reason for doing a particular motif…it all depends how I feel that day and if I want to use up leftovers.

Here below are the 2 photos of the bottom of the rug…I bought a bag of “odds and ends” of wool and used some of it for the narrow dark border.

Here is Progress on the bottom of the rug for Day 5…Happy Hooking!   Sunnie   🙂

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
