New Mystery Rug-“RIAMOP”-2017-Sunnie/rug hooking/hooked rugs/folk art-Day 3

I could hardly wait to get more background hooked so I could see how it looked with my first colours!   I really like it…!!!   🙂

Here is Progress on Day 3…

I seem to be on a “Leaf motif” hooking  adventure lately!!!!!   Bright colours, green ones, etc.   Next thing you know I will be hooking a portrait of Leif Erikson (!!!!)…lol…the son of Eric the Red…!   Nothing like “plays on words” on a foggy morning!   🙂

———————————Of course, the artist, G. Arcimboldo, made people out  of vegetables and flowers, etc. (!)…so leaves would not be too far a stretch!!!!!   🙂

I think I find hooking leaves rather peaceful…I don’t know what that says about my state of mind, but at least that is good for my blood pressure!

I love Autumn and here is my front yard tree being gloriously gold…with the reflections in my windows!   Happy Autumn, everyone…and Happy Hooking!   Sunnie   🙂

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
