Jesters Rug Re-Do…Sunnie/ rug hooking/hooked rugs/ folk art-Resizing older rug!

I am taking a quick break from the Mystery Rug this morning…I did some “pulling out loops” yesterday at our Vancouver Hooking Group!!!   🙂

You have seen this piece before…it used to be a larger rug that said

“Sunnie Andress

Vermont folk Artist”

…and I used it as a sign for my art/craft booth at the Vermont Hand Crafters Holiday show in Burlington, VT each November for several years.

Of course, now I no longer live in Vermont and I do not do my art and craft as a “business”…but I wanted to keep the top part of this piece because I love the colours and had great fun hooking the rug!   🙂

Soooo…I just cut the bottom part off, took out all the dk blue wool that was under the scalloped area and then rehooked the rug shorter.   I have just a little of the blue wool yet to hook and then I can finish it and whip the edges that need it.   When I finish all the “corrections” I can hang the rug up in my house and enjoy it!!!!!

I’ll be hooking on my Mystery Rug this afternoon!!!!!

Happy Hooking!   Sunnie   🙂

I am a folk artist now living in Vancouver, Washington. We loved our Vermont "Old Crow Farm" but now I live in a little cottage with a bright yellow front door! I no longer have my business but still love designing and hooking rugs and experimenting with colour...! I do "mystery rugs" on my Blog and that is great fun!
